Built from Discovery, not a guess
Exhibit B is only completed after Discovery is delivered and accepted. Its scope, deliverable, and price are derived directly from your Discovery Findings Report — that's what lets us fix the price at all.
Deliverable definition
Every Scoped Project states the deliverable specifically enough that both sides can look at the finished work and agree it matches the description. We avoid open-ended language like "improve data quality" in favor of a named artifact and its acceptance criteria.
What the work includes
Three components, each building on your Discovery baseline.
Key-Tracing Deep Dive
- Traces each in-scope key field across named systems and interfaces
- Identifies where fields stay consistent vs. are reformatted
- Surfaces breaks or mismatches affecting joinability
Detailed Data Flow Diagram
- Level-1 diagram expanding the Discovery Level-0 baseline
- Level-2 detail where complexity warrants it
- Scoped to the specific interface(s) in this project
Updated Observed Constraints
- Reflects findings from the deep dive
- Dated to supersede or extend the Discovery baseline
- Feeds acceptance review against the Deliverable Definition
Scope Boundaries
- Addresses your data environment and named interface(s) only
- Third party's internal process/business rules are out of scope
- Additional interfaces require a separate SOW
How it's priced
Estimated from Discovery scope sizing, with a stated contingency built in — not added later as a surprise.
| Component | Basis | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Estimated Hours | From Discovery scope sizing | Set per engagement |
| Base | Hours × applicable tier rate(s) | $350/hr Principal tier |
| Scope Buffer | Contingency for unforeseen complexity | 15–25% |
| Expenses | Billed at cost, pre-approved, separate from fixed price | Estimated at kickoff |
Payment milestones
- Kickoff — 1/3Due on SOW execution.
- Midpoint — 1/3Due at a named interim deliverable, e.g. mapping complete.
- Completion — 1/3Due when the final deliverable is accepted.
If scope changes mid-engagement
Change Order Procedure: if scope expands beyond the Deliverable Definition, we notify you in writing before continuing. Additional work is billed at the standard hourly rate ($350/hr) under a signed change order, or added to a revised fixed-price SOW — your choice. No out-of-scope work is performed without written authorization.
